Paper Passion, A Perfume That Smells Like Books For Booklovers

I want to buy this, move into a house with a spare room, paint one wall like a huge bookcase, then put this into an air freshener and have it as my chill out room. Perf.

Why don’t you just use http://smellofbooks.com/aromas/new-book-smell/? Or you can get this if you’re going for that vintage vibe!

But seriously, folks — books are just information storage. They’ve become fetish objects because people think they’re obsolete. Are they? What do you think? Is this perfume (and its many predecessors) this year’s NES controller belt buckle?

And please, let’s talk about the Karl Lagerfeld-designed packaging. The perfume-shaped cut-out says, “We destroyed a book so we could sell you our book-fetish totem!” But the blank-paged book facsimile screams, “Words? Who needs ‘em, when you can smell like you’re reading?”
